Roy, despite his better judgment, puts a hand over the one Aymeric has against his cheek - holding it there a little longer. In a forcibly light tone,]

Maybe I could've even been a knight in a different time.

[aymeric doesn't withdraw, just keeps his hand there, and a low draconic rumble emanates from his chest]

... I daresay you would make a fine knight.

Oh no, I would've disgraced myself immediately.

But then some dumb act of valor would get me back in the knight commander's good graces again.

Is that so? Hmm, yes, I can imagine that. So long as this knight commander is overly fond of boisterous bravery and valiance.

C'mon, who wouldn't fall for some boisterous bravery?

[softly, running his thumb over roy's cheekbone]

aymeric's eyes widen as he realizes what he said, and the implications thereof, and lets out a breath]

[he closes his eyes tightly, swallowing, and removes his hand from roy's cheek, leaning back to put some distance between himself and roy]

I... should not keep you any longer.

[There is no change in the airy smile of Roy's expression. The only hint that he felt anything at all is his breathing - it had simply stopped. He couldn't relax his chest to exhale, because that tension was the only thing keeping his heart rigid and in place. It was not allowed to start bleeding. It didn't deserve to break over something like this, not in front of Aymeric.

He'd stay smiling for him.

Roy's eyes flutter before his grin widens and he lets himself up with a casual shift to his feet.]

Then I'll see myself out!

[aymeric manages a small smile as he glances up at him]

Pray take care.

[Gives him a cute little wave before he ollies out and talks himself out of getting drunk.......]
