You are teasing me. 'Tis too early, you know I cannot resist you right now.

I know. But I don't intend to leave you unsatisfied, either.

[ Just going to turn his head up towards hers, and lower her own head to kiss him gently on the mouth- it's soft, not insistent, and she pulls back to nuzzle his nose. ]

[leans into the kiss, returning it warmly, and nuzzles back with a low rumble]

Just a touch, but I'd rather have you like this than feeling obligated.

[ Nothing she hasn't had to withhold before. But she draws her hand across his front, with the other playing by his ear. ]

[he pulls her into his arms and shifts so he's laying back and she's on top of him, holding her close and pressing his face to her hair]

Pray grant me a few more moments like this.

[ Easily shifts so that she can straddle his waist, but lowers herself to push her face into the side of his neck. ]

You can stay like this forever if you wish, my love.

[ Kissing the side of his neck languidly. ]

... Your gaze has been morose and I can guess as to why. Just know I'm here... as is Estinien, aye?

[peacetalks]

[his arms around her waist tighten a little, and he presses a kiss to her temple]

Aye.

[ Stroking his hair gently, and kissing his cheek. ]

... I didn't want to bring it up until you did. But-

[ Lifting her face to linger above his- ]

- it's alright if you wish to mourn before me, my darling. You didn't forget that, did you?

... I did not forget. I only... I do not wish to mourn someone who yet lives, who may yet return to brighten our lives again. I do not believe him to be lost to us forever. So 'tis not Roy himself I mourn... I mourn all the moments I might have spent with him, cherishing him, that are now lost.

[he lowers his eyes]

You saw the garment he made me. 'Tis exquisite... I've never seen its like before. And he made it for me...

That's what you should mourn, my love. The loss of the time you could have had. It allows you to feel like there's hope, once that sorrow is spent, and be ready to welcome him back if that is what is to come.

[ Kissing his forehead. ]

I want you to be able to look forward to the good that can come, aye?

[ And she hopes he'll get the chance. Though she chuckles. ]

Aye, 'tis what I'd hoped to see you wear when I dressed you- not that we had many options at the time... but should you wish to wear it, I can help you into it whenever you wish.

[softly, a little choked up]

Aye. I would like that very much.

[ Gently shifting back and wrapping her arms around the back of his neck, hugging him like this while atop him so he can move his face into her shoulder. ]

Don't hold it back, my darling.

[peacetalks]

[he presses his face to her shoulder gratefully, silent. he sniffles a little, letting a few tears fall]

... thank you.

[ She won't shush him, just gently kiss the side of his head and slide back to help him sit up- this way she can straddle him and have him hug her properly and mourn as he needs. ]

[he holds her close, quiet for a bit, until eventually he nudges her cheek with his nose]

... I ought to clean my face before making breakfast, I think.

[ Gently wiping his cheeks with her thumbs, and moving his face before her to kiss under his eyes. ]

I think you look adorable flushed like this, actually.

[ Weak smile. ]

But I would rather you not walk out with puffed up eyes or people may think I was mean to you.

Aye, I'd prefer there be no such misunderstandings.

[ He's so precious she feels like melting. Why is he so cute. How does she fall in love even more every single time. ]

You know, some people actually like that? Having someone be mean to them, that is.

[ Pecking his mouth. It is wet, but it is nice wet. ]

And what sort of transgression would I have to commit to earn such a remark, I wonder?

Not go to bed on time or have your meals? Oh, not resting. Only naughty boys don't rest when they ought to. And eating too much birch syrup before having a proper meal.
