[reverie - visiting ishgard]

[welcome to the holy see of ishgard.

if you've been invited by aymeric or estinien for a visit, you've probably been warned about the weather, and how the entire country is in a state of permanent winter. there's a light flurry of snow covering everything, and people walk about in heavy furs along the cobblestone streets, breath fogging in the air. people hover by fires for warmth as covered carriages move about the city. statues of fierce-looking warriors stand in the middle of plazas as workers, knights, and nobility mill about in their day-to-day business. one can see the towering spires of a cathedral further in, and behold the vast snow-covered landscape that surrounds the city itself, which is perched on the top of a mountain.

it's bitterly cold here, but people seem genial enough. most folks walking around are tall, lanky, elf-looking types, aka elezen, but there are a fair number of "human"-looking people (aka hyur) as well. and once in a while, you might even see a dragon or two.

if you were officially invited, you may have a letter of invite signed by the lord commander in your possession, which will get you just about anywhere. if you've been to eorzea before, you might find yourself arriving via teleportation magics, which will land you in the aetheryte plaza. perhaps you're arriving by airship. or perhaps you're standing at the gates of the city.]

[aymeric hums softly as moon massages his legs, appreciating the attention]

I can imagine. There are whole lands here I've not had the chance to see yet myself. I shall never forget the first time I set foot in Dravania, how alike and unlike Ishgard it seemed. I am looking forward to journeying there with you--and to see your world, soon.

I am too. I am excited, but I find myself nervous now and then too— I hope the Dravanians like me. I hope you like my world.

[his tail flicks shyly, splashing up little ripples in a corner of the tub]

[aymeric reaches for moon's tail, gently running his finger along the ridges]

Truly, I can scarce imagine anyone who would not adore you upon coming to know you. And you have painted for me such a vibrant picture of your world, I shall be honored to see it.

[eggstinction]

I like the thought that they will have the time to get to know me.

[curls the end of his tail around aymeric's wrist]

But indeed... this will not be my only visit to Eorzea. And you shall have many opportunities to explore my world, from my seas to the aeries, to the mountains and even the Inland.

[peacetalks]

[brings moon's tail up to his lips to kiss it]

Oh, my dearest Moon... I am so happy to be with you again.

[can't help but give him the fondest, sappiest smile]

And I, to be with you.

[moon makes a small sound, his throat too tight with feeling.]

I missed you. More than any adventure or travels we might take, I missed these moments together with you.

[peacetalks]

[aymeric rises up on his knees and into moon's lap again, pressing close as the water shifts around them]

I, too, missed this. Our halcyon days of domesticity.

[he holds moon's face in his hands as he leans in to give him a soft, tender kiss]

[moon welcomes him close, bringing his arms up around aymeric and cradling the back of his head. this time he manages a proper call, crooning with wordless adoration.]

Domestic bliss, as they say...

[peacetalks]

[aymeric hums a wordless response into the kiss, his own attempt at trilling--not a very effective one, what with his tongue occupied, but the effort is plain. he lingers like that until he needs to breathe, and nuzzles moon's face, nose to nose]

... I do think I could stay here with you 'til the water turns cool...

[he can feel moon smile into the kiss, delighted as ever by aymeric's attempts at dragon sounds, and even more so now that they're not as instinctive]

So I should keep the water warm, that you never leave my arms?

[peacetalks]

[chuckles]

You need not go to such lengths to keep me. I am quite content being held like this, should it be your desire.

[eggstinction]

For a little while, perhaps. I am as happy to hold you in our bed, in the sea, or in the sky.

[he does swish one of his hands through the water though, adding a comfortable wash of extra heat]
