[welcome to the holy see of ishgard.

if you've been invited by aymeric or estinien for a visit, you've probably been warned about the weather, and how the entire country is in a state of permanent winter. there's a light flurry of snow covering everything, and people walk about in heavy furs along the cobblestone streets, breath fogging in the air. people hover by fires for warmth as covered carriages move about the city. statues of fierce-looking warriors stand in the middle of plazas as workers, knights, and nobility mill about in their day-to-day business. one can see the towering spires of a cathedral further in, and behold the vast snow-covered landscape that surrounds the city itself, which is perched on the top of a mountain.

it's bitterly cold here, but people seem genial enough. most folks walking around are tall, lanky, elf-looking types, aka elezen, but there are a fair number of "human"-looking people (aka hyur) as well. and once in a while, you might even see a dragon or two.

if you were officially invited, you may have a letter of invite signed by the lord commander in your possession, which will get you just about anywhere. if you've been to eorzea before, you might find yourself arriving via teleportation magics, which will land you in the aetheryte plaza. perhaps you're arriving by airship. or perhaps you're standing at the gates of the city.]

[he hums, rapidly relaxing under moon's touch, and tucks his face along moon's neck]

If you would, I would hold it close, cherish it greatly. And I would give you something of mine in return.

I would like that. I will draw it around me and fold it into my nest, and everything will smell more like home.

[peacetalks]

I shall have to consider what would be most appropriate. Would that you could carry me into your nest for a spell, instead.

[chuckles, and nuzzles moon's neck]

[eggstinction]

[tips his chin up to bare more of his neck, and cards his claws through aymeric's hair]

Would that I could, but one day I will. I will have you out of the snow and onto my islands yet.

[peacetalks]

[aymeric hums again, low and almost purr-like, and he places a soft, warm kiss to moon's neck]

And into your seas, I hope.

[eggstinction]

And into my seas. We will fly underwater.

[the scales armoring moon's neck flutter, then quietly retract]

[peacetalks]

I look forward to that day.

[with bare skin to occupy him, aymeric works on peppering kisses along whatever of moon is exposed]

[moon had to wear CLOTHES today]

It will be a little different... We were dreaming the last time you came.

Aye, and sadly I cannot breathe underwater. Still, I would fain experience those waters with you, however I can.

[eggstinction]

So you shall, Aymeric of Oceans. They are your seas, too.

[peacetalks]

I can scarce believe I have been granted such an honor... it will take seeing them before my very eyes before I do, mayhaps.

[soooo comfortable. if he were still part-dragon he would be rumbling right now]

[eggstinction]

[moon can rumble loud enough for both of them. some of his hands begin to drift along aymeric's clothes or tapping claws over his ornaments, unhurridly starting to puzzle out how to undress his fancy Lord Commander gear.]

Naturally, you should inspect your territory yourself.

You do not title yourselves so here, but when we visit the dragons of this world, may I say that we are together? I do not mind if I must play the ambassador again, but...

[peacetalks]

[thankfully aymeric has removed his armor for the day, so there aren't like. pauldrons and such to contend with. he stretches so moon has room to touch]

You may do so. I do not mind. I realize, however, that I have not made such an announcement here... I thought it best to wait until after your visit, but I should have asked you first.

[eggstinction]

[moon appreciates a nice set of scales armor, but he’s got touching to do.]

I would have agreed with waiting. I have brought gifts too, for you and your house, to do things rightly.

[he waves a hand vaguely towards where he ditched his backpack in the entrance hall. his tail waves too, snaking up under aymeric’s shirt to wind around his torso]

[peacetalks]

Oh.

[aymeric chuckles and stretches out as the tail winds up his shirt, a tad ticklish]

My house is truly just myself, now... and ser Clawdien, of course, though I daresay you've already met with his approval.

[lifts a hand to touch moon's cheek]

And mine. I hope that is obvious.

[eggstinction]

[his tail and his hands pause their caresses as moon leans into aymeric's touch, crooning softly]

It is as obvious as the sunrise.

[peacetalks]

[aymeric's eyes lower, and he strokes moon's jaw and cheek]

... There is something I ought to tell you. After my possession was expelled, I discovered that it left some... lingering effects. Where my horns and tail were, the skin has become quite... well, sensitive. And there are other changes, too.

[he clears his throat, cheeks turning red]

[eggstinction]

[well OF COURSE now he has to brush his knuckles over where one of those horns had been]

Such as…?

[peacetalks]

[aymeric's eyelids flutter and he sucks in a soft breath, swallowing]

... shall I tell you, or would you rather find out for yourself?

[eggstinction]

[rumbles lowly and circles the spot more deliberately as his tail begins to unwind, slithering across aymeric's skin]

Give me a hint. I'd like to find out.

[peacetalks]

[he lets out a breathy sigh and tilts his head into moon's hands, a shiver running down his spine]

It, ah, seems that... my possession--as well as Estinien's and Megumi's--left our bodies with... certain capabilities... for...

[he bites his lip, cheeks crimson]

Well, we suspect... for mating.

[eggstinction]

Did they now...?

[moon leans in to bite aymeric's lip, tugging it between his own fangs with a small, teasing growl]

How convenient that I happen to be both a dragon and your mate. Let me see how well they have equipped you.

[peacetalks]

[aymeric sucks in a breath and then kisses moon hungrily, eagerness finally bursting out of him like a dam overflowing. he's missed moon so much, and being close to him and touching him like this has his every nerve alight. he's unable to stifle the soft pleading noise that escapes him, wordlessly begging moon for more]

[eggstinction]

[moon surges forward as if unleashed, almost bearing aymeric up off the couch. but his arms are strong around him, hands tugging at all those buttons and hems they were so peacefully exploring before. he's yearned too, too much to not answer aymeric's plea]

[peacetalks]

[aymeric lets out a moan into moon's kiss, climbing into moon's lap fully, legs straddling him as he fumbles to disrobe--he can get his tunic off easily enough, at least, and discards it to the side. quickly leaning back in to kiss moon once more, not wanting to stop for more than a second if he can help it. his hands are moving over moon's skin, what's bare to him right now, fingers rubbing along the border between soft skin and hard carapace]
