[welcome to the holy see of ishgard.

the sky is overcast, as it always is, and there's a light flurry of snow covering everything. people walk about in heavy furs, breath fogging in the air. the streets are grey cobblestone, and tall and imposing stone buildings loom amidst wooden structures--some still in the midst of repair, although for the most part the structural damage from the end of the dragonsong war has been mitigated. the spires of a massive cathedral can be seen in the distance, towards the center of the city.

statues, too, are found in every square; the most prominent amongst them of a commanding-looking woman bearing a spear and a shield. people murmur quick prayers to her as they pass her by. "thank the fury," they say, as they mill about. there are some soldiers around wearing thick chainmail, though no one looks especially on edge. in fact, despite the chill in the air and the greyness of the sky, people look... normal. it's fair to say that the majority of them are elezen, tall individuals with pointed ears, though there are a few who look more "human". and once in a while, you might even see a young dragon flitting about.

the aetheryte plaza, where there stands a large glowing blue crystal, is most likely near where you ended up. with a bit of asking around, you can learn of a few choice locations--the forgotten knight, a prominent tavern known for their hot mulled cider; the brume, a collection of dwellings where the lower class tend to congregate; the skysteel manufactory, a workshop which develops constructs and other magitek; the chocobo stables; and the congregation of our knights most heavenly, aka the headquarters of the temple knights. you can go further into the city too, though it's probably pretty obvious where you'd find info about aymeric around here...]

[it's at this point there's a soft thump nearby, and an extremely fluffy white cat with a smushed-in face and an expression of pure venom trots by, having jumped down from a tall shelf]

Oh, I nearly forgot to introduce you to Ser Clawdien.

Oh my goodness, I can't believe you'd neglect to mention such a delightful little fellow.

[addressing the cat. ser clawdien sniffs disdainfully and turns to trot away, tail held high in the air]

Alas, not this time.

If you spend the night I'll show you where I keep the fish nuggets. Then he'll warm up to you.

He can be quite prickly at times, but he can also be very sweet if the mood strikes him. Or if he is hungry.

Since I'm staying all night, he'll surely get hungry while I'm around at some point, I'll be patient until the time to pounce.

[he takes her hand and brings it to his lips to kiss, soft]

[he melts into it easily, angling his head so he can kiss back deeply, savoring the warmth and softness of her lips against his]

[Taking his face in her hands, god it's so wonderful to be kissing him with no need to worry about interruption or judgement from anyone else, Sebastian said he'd stay in the kitchen and Ser Clawdien isn't interested for the moment so she should be able to kiss Aymeric to her heart's content, right? Moaning softly and parting her lips, inviting.]

[the relief of them being alone, unwatched and unjudged, stirs a fire in aymeric's chest he hadn't realized was being kindled. he echoes her, moaning as he winds both arms around her and pulls her close]

[yes good excellent. She's more than happy to press close, though her breath hitches a little too sharp when her chest is pulled flush against him, but that's something she's just breezing past and trying to cover with another moan.]

[he can't help but notice that, and though he isn't willing to let go just yet, he does murmur into her lips]

Mm, I'm fine.

[never mind it never mind, it's just a few bruises she doesn't care, wrapping her arm around his neck and holding him close for more! kissing!]

[he'll let it pass for now, eager to kiss her again, lips parting to entwine his tongue with hers and taste her as he drags her into his lap]
